Hello and festive greetings!
My name is Bella and I am the newest addition to the Progress Together team, taking on the role of Programme Manager.
I have recently seconded over from Accenture, where I ordinarily work as a management consultant within our Capital Markets practice. I have long had an interest in social mobility work, which is what initially inspired me to start my working career as a teacher via Teach First – I spent 3 years teaching secondary & A-level Maths in comprehensive schools in disadvantaged areas across the West Midlands.
When I first I heard about the opportunity to work at Progress Together, I thought there isn’t a role that better combines my experience and expertise and so I jumped at the chance to get involved!
My main responsibilities here at Progress Together involve acting as the main point of contact for our 43+ members, as well as developing the programme of events we host. In addition to our standard webinar & workshop offerings, I am delighted that we will be launching some new initiatives in 2024, such as (but certainly not limited to):
- Our first ever impact celebration will be held in the Spring, where we will take the opportunity to celebrate the innovative initiatives that further the mission of creating socio-economic diversity in FS across all levels. We hope to see as many of you there as possible!
- Firm-to-firm mentoring – Our member firms have accomplished so much over the last year and so this scheme will provide our members with the opportunity to connect with one another to discuss best practice, how they overcame barriers, as well as offer support and practical advice.
- Shared Problem Solving – These problem solving sessions will bring the Progress Together toolkit to life as our members will explore how to connect the learnings and resources from the toolkit to use in a practical context within their organisations
We already know that 2024 will be big, it will be busy, and it will also be a blast. We are all so looking forward to getting stuck in to help drive change, and we hope you will join us for the journey!
