The UCL project goes beyond measuring high-level access rates to elite occupations by demographic group to provide deeper insights into why certain groups are less likely to obtain job offers for entry-level roles across a range of sectors.  Participating firms receive detailed annual diversity reports including a review of their recruitment process and entry routes; access to new industry benchmarking data and new UK talent pool benchmarking data; identification of barriers for underrepresented groups (on a like-for like basis) and ‘what works’ best practice.

The process would be entirely anonymous and free – all you would need to do is share an annual data dump of your anonymised individual-level applicants data, and the team at UCL will clean it, analyse it, and produce a lengthy report. To find out more, and to see an example redacted report from some of their previous work, please contact Professor Lindsey Macmillan at l.macmillan@ucl.ac.uk
